Appointment template study
A close look at new, follow-up, and procedure slots: whether the clock times on the template match how the clinic actually runs.
Templates drift. A ten-minute follow-up written in 2019 still sits on the book while the letter, the investigation, and the chaperone have all lengthened. We sit with the list lead, time a sample of encounters from the waiting area, and set out where the template and the day have parted company.
This engagement is usually commissioned after a clinic operations review, or when a group already has agreed DNA and unused-slot definitions and needs them applied across sites or written for a board.
